With the objective to foster the talent among the students of Architecture and Civil Engineering, PCERF has initiated these prestigious ‘PCERF B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards’. M/s. B.G. Shirke Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been associated with these awards as a sponsor since inception. This competition aims to recognize, appreciate, and reward talented young architects and civil engineers studying in colleges and institutes of architecture and civil engineering. This award helps students showcase their creativity, connect with industry professionals, and network within the construction industry. This award is an initiative to bridge the gap between industry and academia to benefit the construction sector.
PCERF has been organizing Vidyarthi Awards since the year 2016, for Civil Engineering and Architecture students at Under Graduate and Post Graduate and Diploma levels. The 9th in series ‘PCERF B.G.Shirke Vidyarthi Awards 2025’ has been launched for students from colleges/institutions affiliated with AICTE/COA/MSBTE Approved State Universities, Autonomous Institutes, and Deemed Universities from Maharashtra. Participating students are expected to submit their project work which has been already completed as a part of their academic requirement. PCERF will assist eligible research projects for further expansion.
The Head of Department (Architecture/ Civil) will recommend the projects from the institute for various categories as applicable or students are allowed to directly send their projects.
The assessment committee will select the best10 entries per category from stage 1 for the final round.
External assessment will be carried out by the Industry Expert Jury panel for finalizing Top 3 entries from each of the 5 categories. This assessment will be based on the report, presentation and interaction with the students.
The evaluation process maintains complete confidentiality of the entries received.
Entry fees : A nominal entry fee of Rs.750 per entry will be charged to cover admin expenses.
Note : Certificate of participation for all the entries with name of Institution and Guide will be provided.
The assessment committee members will shortlist 10 best entries from each category. Shortlisted entries will be notified accordingly.
On selection from the top 10 entries from each category, participants have to present the project to Jury Members. Participants may decide the best/ appropriate mode of presentation e.g. using power point tool, working model, perspective views, walkthroughs, videos etc. In case of any specific requirement for the presentation, it has to be given along with the report to PCERF well in advance.
In case if participant is unable to attend the Final Jury Presentation Round, a virtual presentation may be allowed with prior permission.
The winners shall be felicitated at the renowned exhibition Constro 2026 at Pune in front of an audience comprising of eminent stalwarts of the construction sector. The winners will get a chance to exhibit their projects / work in Constro 2026.
