PCERF - Kumar Beharay Safety Awards 2025

PCERF Kumar Beharay Safety Awards aims to create maximum awareness of Environment, Health & Safety in construction industry. It is not only transforming organization’s culture but also inculcating the best ethical practices in the construction sector.

'Construction Safety' is a critical concern for professionals and companies in the construction industry. To enhance awareness and integrate safety into organizational culture, the Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) has been hosting the PCERF-Kumar Beharay Construction Safety Awards over the years. The latest edition (12th in series) of these awards has been initiated herewith for the year 2025 .

The Award provides a perfect avenue to engage different layers from this sector including contractors, site management and frontline workers in promoting Safety, Health & Environmental culture.

Categories for Safety Awards 2025 - The awards are constituted of the following categories:

1	Eligible participants shall be as per PCERF's guidelines.	Only those participants are eligible as per PCERF'S guideline and who received invitation from the PCERF Consistent participation in previous awards and number of awards they won.
2	Building Contractors - A	Project value above 100 Cr.
3	Building Contractors - B	Project Value Less than 100Cr.
4	Building Contractors - C	Project Value up to 50 Cr.
5	Building Developers - A	Project Value Above 300Cr.
6	Building Developers - B	Project Value Less Than 300Cr.
7	Building Developers - C	Project value upto 50 Cr.
8	Industrial Projects	Any site engaged in industrial buildings, Development of industrial Area. No Project cost limitations
9	Industrial Projects	Projects related to infrastructure development like Flyovers, Metro Rail, Highway Projects, STP, Sea Link projects, Tunnels, River front projects, Water supply, Heritage restoration Projects etc. No Project cost limitations
10	Regional Category	Regional Contractors outside Pune District or Company Registration outside Pune. No Project cost limitations

Other Criteria

Sites shall be at a stage in between 25% to 75% of progress during start of competition period i.e. August 2025.
Entries shall not be accepted, if the company has been convicted for any contravention with regard to safety, health and environment provisions and / or if any fatal accident/s occurred in recent past.
Any special projects which are not as per above categories, shall be suitably categorised as per PCERF Safety Awards guidelines. And the same shall be intimated to the participating company.
After nominating for the Competition, participants’ applied Category eligibility will be subject to the approval of the PCERF respective authorities.
Other details of the competition shall be presented during ORIENTATION MEETING which shall be conducted before start of the site visits.
